Bring Bioprinters to Classrooms

Monterey High School has embarked on a Bring Bioprinters to Classrooms crowdfunding campaign to raise funds for the purchase of bioprinters for our growing biotechnology program.  Please join us on Back-to-School night from 4:30-5:30 on Thursday 08/31 for a live bioprinting demonstration by SE3D!

What is bioprinting?  Bioprinting is three-dimensional printing technology that produces materials that incorporate living cells. The technology can create living tissue and organs for reconstructive surgery such as skin grafting and organ transplants.  It can also generate experiments at the micro-scale, thus significantly reducing the footprint, quantity, and cost of materials necessary to carry out multiple trials of an experiment.

Here is how you can help our crowdfunding campaign:

  • Back our campaign. Go to our Bring Bioprinters to Classrooms campaign page and donate any amount you want. Even if we don't reach our end goal, all funds raised will go directly to the schools.
  • Share our campaign page via email, WhatsApp, or WeChat
  • Spread the word about #r3bEL4schools on Facebook or Twitter
  • Participate at our local events (all proceeds go directly to the campaign) and invite others
